BMW recalls Mini Cooper SE electric models worldwide

BMW is recalling electric Mini Cooper SE vehicles due to problems in their batteries, which could potentially affect more than 140,000 autos worldwide, as said by the German automakers.

Due to which, approximately 39,000 vehicles could be affected in Germany alone, the company said. But there are no known accidents or injuries in this context as of now.

Adding to it, they said problems in the battery system can lead to overheating.

There is possibility of a vehicle fire when the vehicle is parked.

The cars have a software which has diagnostic function that detects the malfuction of the battery and sends out the alert notification. All the car owners, who recieved the messages are requested to visit a Mini partner.
