2026 Ford Bronco Brings Back Wildtrak as Badlands Package

Ford has confirmed that the Wildtrak name will return to the 2026 Bronco lineup. But this time, it comes back as an option package for the Badlands trim rather than a standalone model. The package bundles the most popular off-road upgrades into a single $11,945 add-on for four-door Broncos.

What the 2026 Bronco Wildtrak Package Includes

The Wildtrak Package stacks three major upgrades into one option code. It includes the 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine with 330 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also adds the Sasquatch off-road package with HOSS 3.0 suspension featuring Fox internal bypass shocks.

Buyers also get 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT tires, beadlock-capable wheels, front and rear locking differentials, rock rails, and bash plates. The Black Appearance Package rounds out the look with molded-in-color exterior trim and a Shadow Black painted hardtop. Ford is seeing strong demand across its lineup, and the Wildtrak Package gives Bronco fans a simpler way to get the best off-road equipment.

Why Ford Made Wildtrak a Package Instead of a Trim

The original Wildtrak was a separate trim level in earlier Bronco model years. For 2026, Ford chose to make it an option package exclusive to the Badlands. This approach lets buyers start with the Badlands trim at around $47,000 and decide how much off-road gear they want to add. A fully loaded Badlands with the Wildtrak Package runs roughly $65,000 including the destination charge.

There is one catch. The Wildtrak Package is only available on four-door Badlands models. Two-door buyers can add most of the same features individually, but the 2.7-liter V6 engine is not offered on the two-door. Understanding how different drivetrain systems work can help buyers choose the right Bronco configuration for their needs.

Other 2026 Ford Bronco Updates

The Wildtrak Package is not the only change for the 2026 Bronco. Ford is adding Orange Fury, a tri-coat orange paint option that will arrive as a mid-year addition. Painted roof options are now available on the Outer Banks and Raptor trims. The SecuriCode keypad, a five-digit keyless entry system, also returns after being absent in recent model years.

New Bronco owners who bought 2024 or newer models qualify for a complimentary Bronco Off-Roadeo event. Ford is also offering one year of free onX off-road navigation access. These perks show Ford is investing in the ownership experience, not just the hardware. The broader auto market is shifting, and Ford wants to keep Bronco buyers loyal.

2026 Ford Bronco Pricing and Engine Options

The 2026 Bronco starts at around $38,000 for the Base trim. The Big Bend starts near $40,500, and the Outer Banks comes in at about $44,500. The Badlands, which is the only trim that offers the Wildtrak Package, begins at roughly $47,000. The top-end Raptor sits at around $69,000.

The standard engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 3,500 pounds. The 2.7-liter V6, included in the Wildtrak Package, boosts towing to 4,500 pounds. Both engines use a 10-speed automatic. With the Sasquatch package, ground clearance reaches 11.6 inches and water fording depth hits 33.5 inches. Like the returning Nissan Xterra, the Bronco continues to bet on gasoline power for serious off-road use.

What Bronco Buyers Should Do Next

If you want the full Wildtrak experience, you need to order a four-door Badlands and add the $11,945 package. Two-door fans should spec the Sasquatch and Black Appearance packages separately. Keep in mind that the Orange Fury color will not be available at launch. It arrives later in the 2026 model year.

The 2026 Bronco is expected to reach dealerships in the coming months. Ford has not announced an exact on-sale date. Buyers interested in reserving a Wildtrak-equipped Bronco should contact their local Ford dealer soon, as popular off-road trims tend to sell quickly.
