Jeep Unveils 6 Concepts at 60th Easter Jeep Safari 2026 in Moab, Utah

Jeep has revealed six concept vehicles for the 60th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, running from March 28 to April 5, 2026. The nine-day event is one of the largest Jeep gatherings in the world, with over 20,000 enthusiasts expected to attend. The concepts will be on display at Walker Drug in downtown Moab throughout the week.

Jeep says the six concepts pay homage to the company’s 4×4 heritage while adding a fresh take on next-generation off-roading. The brand says these builds preview the vehicles that will shape the future of the segment.

No Electric Vehicles This Year

What stands out this year is what is missing. None of the 2026 concepts go fully electric or even plug-in hybrid. This marks a clear shift from recent years when Jeep experimented with alternative powertrains at the event.

Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf called Moab a “proving ground” for the brand. He said the annual event has helped shape Jeep’s 4×4 lineup for decades.

The Anvil 715 — The Most Powerful Build

The Anvil 715 is an overlander based on the four-door Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Its most striking feature is a redesigned nose inspired by the boxy SJ-Series Jeeps from the 1960s.

It is the only concept at the show with a 392 HEMI V8, making around 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The build also gets bigger tires, an onboard air system, custom upholstery, bed-liner flooring, and a Trails Off-Road mapping screen.

XJ Pioneer — A Cherokee Time Capsule

The XJ Pioneer concept is based on the first-generation Cherokee from 1984, marking a return of that nameplate. The restomod keeps chrome bumpers and halogen headlights but adds carbon fender flares to fit larger wheels.

Inside, the cabin gets a modern update with a classic feel. It includes a period-correct radio, a Rubik’s Cube Easter egg, and wood bead seat covers. The original 2.8-liter V6 engine with 80,000 miles was kept because it still ran well.

Buzzcut — The Bold Orange Two-Door

The Wrangler Buzzcut is hard to miss with its Vitamin C orange and black exterior. It has a fastback-style roof with a two-inch drop, balanced by a two-inch suspension lift and 37-inch tires.

It runs a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that still puts out more torque than a standard V6. The rear seats are gone, replaced by a locking storage enclosure with MOLLE panels for gear organisation.

Grand Wagoneer Commander — Stealth Off-Roader

The Grand Wagoneer Commander concept blends luxury with real trail capability. It starts with the standard Grand Wagoneer and adds 35-inch all-terrain tires on premium 20-inch wheels.

A custom roof rack with integrated lighting, skid plates, and side graphics finish the look. The side graphics are a modern take on the classic wood grain style the Grand Wagoneer has always been known for.

Wrangler Laredo — Simple and Stripped Back

The Wrangler Laredo concept goes back to basics on a Willys foundation. It pairs a 3.6-liter V6 with a manual transmission and adds half doors and a custom top for open-air driving.

Inside, cloth seating features retro-style inserts and a vinyl floor for easy wash-outs after muddy trails. Jeep describes this concept as a return to the “bare essentials” of what a Wrangler should be.

A Gladiator Built for Trail Work

This custom Gladiator Rubicon is not built for the show floor. It is a dedicated work vehicle donated to the Red Rock 4-Wheelers club to help protect and maintain off-road trails in the Moab area.

Jeep is continuing its work with the club and the Bureau of Land Management on trail restoration projects. The goal is to preserve public land access for future generations of off-road enthusiasts.

What to Expect at Moab

All six concepts will be on display at Walker Drug in downtown Moab during the event. Jeep will also host ride-and-drives for its latest production models throughout the week.

Attendees with a valid driver’s licence can register for guided trail experiences on local routes like Baby Lion’s Back. On-road drives through Moab in current Jeep models will also be available.

The Easter Jeep Safari runs through April 5, 2026. Stay tuned for daily updates as the event gets underway.
