Good news for car buyers in India! Nissan has shared exciting plans about new cars coming our way soon. The company has made it clear that they are staying in India and are ready to bring out fresh, exciting vehicles. This means more choices for families and those who love SUVs!

No More Doubts: Nissan is Here to Stay!
For a while, some folks wondered if Nissan would leave India. But Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, who leads Nissan in India, has said very clearly: “We are not going anywhere.” He shared that Nissan is fully committed to the Indian market. They even explained that a recent change where Renault took over more of their shared factory in Chennai will not stop Nissan from making cars in India. This factory will still make Nissan cars, including the new ones!
New Cars Coming Soon!
Nissan has big plans for new cars. Here’s what we know:
- New MPV by Early 2026: First, we will see a brand-new MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) come out early in 2026. This car will be built on the same strong base as the popular Renault Triber, so it should be great for families needing lots of space. It will have a tough and cool Nissan look.
- New 5-Seater SUV by Mid-2026: After the MPV, a cool new 5-seater SUV will arrive in the middle of 2026. This SUV will share its underpinnings with the new Renault Duster. Nissan says it will look very different and will have design ideas from their bigger, strong global SUVs like the Nissan Patrol. It will be made to handle Indian roads well.
- New 7-Seater SUV by Early 2027: Looking a bit further ahead, a bigger 7-seater SUV is planned for early 2027. This won’t just be a stretched version of the 5-seater; it will be a specially designed vehicle for families who need a lot of room.
Why This is Big News
Nissan wants to sell a lot more cars in India. They aim to sell 100,000 cars in India and send another 100,000 cars to other countries by 2027. To do this, they are putting money into making new cars. They are also working to make their car shops (dealerships) better and add more of them, going from about 160 to 180 shops this year.
This is a good sign for Nissan fans and for the Indian car market. More choices and strong plans from big car companies mean exciting times ahead!
